Mesa is a 3-D graphics library which uses the OpenGL API (Application Programming Interface). Mesa cannot be called an implementation of OpenGL since the author did not obtain an OpenGL license from SGI. Furthermore, Mesa cannot claim OpenGL conformance since the conformance tests are only available to OpenGL licensees. Despite these technical/legal terms, you may find Mesa to be a valid alternative to OpenGL. Most applications written for OpenGL can use Mesa instead without changing the source code.

Jak pewnie zauważyliście zmieniliśmy dość widocznie wygląd strony głównej Linux.pl. Poprzedni wygląd sięgał jeszcze czasów kiedy serwis powstawał czyli roku 2003 - od tamtej pory przeszedł jedynie drobny facelifting, więcej zmian było natomiast na podstronach serwisu. nut is nutrition software to record what you eat and analyze your meals for nutrient composition. The database included is the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 18, which contains 7,146 foods and 136 nutrients. This database contains values for vitamins, minerals, fats, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, etc., and includes the essential polyunsaturated fats, Omega-3 and Omega-6. Nutrient levels are expressed as a percentage of the Daily Value, the familiar standard of food labeling in the United States, but also can be fully customized. Foods can be added from recipes or food labels, and nutrient intake can be graphed. The program is completely menu-driven and there are no commands to learn.

PySTDF is a Python module which makes it easy to work with STDF (Teradyne's Standard Test Data Format). STDF is a commonly-used file format in semiconductor tests. Automated test equipment (ATE) from such vendors as Teradyne, Verigy, LTX, Credence, and others supports this format. PySTDF provides event-based stream parsing of STDF version 4, indexers that help structure the data into a more useful tabular form, and the ability to generate missing summary records or new types of derivative records. GRASS (the Geographic Resources Analysis Support System) is a software raster- and vector-based GIS (Geographic Information System), image processing system, graphics production system, and spatial modeling system. It contains many modules for raster data manipulation, vector data manipulation, rendering images on the monitor or paper, multispectral image geocoding and processing, point data management and general data management. It also has tools for interfacing with digitizers, scanners, and the PostgreSQL, DBF, and ODBC connected databases. gipfel is a tool to find the names of mountains or points of interest on a picture. It uses a database containing names and GPS data. With the given viewpoint (the point from which the picture was taken) and two known mountains on the picture, it can compute all parameters needed to compute the positions of other mountains on the picture. Additionally, it can try to guess these parameter if only one mountain is known on the picture. In this case, a few other peaks need to be marked, but it is not necessary to know their names. It can also be used to play around with the parameters manually. But be warned: It is pretty difficult to find the right parameters for a given picture manually.
