Kolejne wydarzenie potwierdzające fakt, że producenci zaczynają liczyć się ze środowiskiem Open Source - Intel wypuścił otwarte sterowniki do swoich kart graficznych, w tym również dla 3D. Na nowo otwartej stronie http://intellinuxgraphics.org znajdziemy między innymi sterowniki w postaci binarnej oraz źródeł.

TAPPy separates a time-series of water levels into the sine waves representing the tidal components. It uses the least square optimization and other functions in SciPy. libetc is an LD_PRELOAD-able shared library designed for maintaining a home directory without dot-files. It intercepts file operations, so if a program tries to open a dotfile in $HOME, it is redirected to $XDG_CONFIG_HOME (as defined by freedesktop). You can then store all your configuration files in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME instead of using lots of dot-files in $HOME.

shmux 1.0b10 (Default branch)
shmux is a program for executing the same command on many hosts in parallel. For each target, a child process is spawned by shmux, and a shell on the target obtained one of the supported methods: rsh, ssh, or sh. The output produced by the children is received by shmux and either output in turn to the user in an easy to read format, or written to files for later processing, making it well suited for use in scripts.

GenReS is a generic reconfigurable scriptable plugin for Mozilla-based browsers. It allows you to use external programs for EMBED or OBJECT tags. The plugin is supplied with a Perl script for embedding mplayer and mencoder in a browser and controlling it with Javascript. It allow you to watch video and to record it to set of files. Manipulations with object variables in Javascript are translated to a Perl program. Status messages from the controlled program (mplayer or mencoder) are translated back to Javascript object variables, and Javascript functions are called for notifications.

Tea4CUPS is similar in functionality to the *nix command "tee", but in the form of a CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) backend. Tea4CUPS captures a print job's data in their final form while they are being sent to a printer (more precisely, to a CUPS backend), and at the same time allows you to dispatch these data to any number of commands.

SRESI 0.13.2 (Default branch)
SRESI is a smart bookmark manager, with many interesting tricks sadly bundled in a lousy interface. SRESI works with both the standard hierarchical trees and the new and fashionable tagged bookmarks. It was developed as a way to interface both representation systems. SRESI can use Del.icio.us, Mozilla, Opera, and XBEL bookmarks, and handles a few more exports besides. Directories and tags are used equivalently, and the final hierarchies are inferred from actual tag use.

OSSP cfg 0.9.11 (Default branch)
OSSP cfg is a ISO-C library for parsing arbitrary C/C++-style configuration files. A configuration is sequence of directives, each directive consists of zero or more tokens, and each token can be either a string or again a complete sequence. This means the configuration syntax has a recursive structure and allows you to create configurations with arbitrarily-nested sections. The configuration syntax also provides complex single/double/balanced quoting of tokens, hexadecimal/octal/decimal character encodings, character escaping, C/C++ and shell-style comments, etc. The library API allows importing of a configuration text into an Abstract Syntax Tree (AST), traversing the AST, and optionally exporting the AST again as a configuration text.

GtkDatabox 0.7.0.0 (Default branch)
The GtkDatabox widget (for use with the GTK+ widget set) is used to display large amounts of numerical data in graphical representation. Several sets of data may be shown at one time. You may zoom in and out and navigate via scrollbars. The display of data is rather fast, so you can use the widget for quickly changing data (i.e. an oscilloscope for example) as well. The widget has already been adapted to several scientific projects around the world.

OSSP mm is a 2-layer abstraction library which simplifies the usage of shared memory between related processed under Unix platforms. It both hides all platform dependent implementation details (allocation, locking, etc.) when dealing with shared memory segments and provides a high-level malloc-style API for a convenient way to work with data-structures inside those shared memory segments.

C Generic Library 0.3.3 (Default branch)
The C Generic Library is a collection of data structures designed and created in as generic a fashion as possible. Each data structure will contain its own basic memory management, be able to handle any object type, and hopefully constrain to strict algorithmic constraints. It contains doubly linked list, vector, deque, stack, queue, open and closed hash tables, and a binary tree structure, with list and vector based versions available for deque, stack, and queue.

lftp 3.5.4 (Default branch)
lftp is a sophisticated command line based file transfer program. Supported protocols include FTP, HTTP, SFTP, and FISH. It has a multithreaded design allowing you to issue and execute multiple commands simultaneously or in the background. It also features mirroring capabilities and will reconnect and continue transfers in the event of a disconnection. Also, if you quit the program while transfers are still in progress, it will switch to nohup mode and finish the transfers in the background. Additional protocols supported: FTP over HTTP proxy, HTTPS and FTP over SSL. There are lots of tunable parameters, including rate limitation, number of connections limitation and more.

Gwyddion is a modular SPM (Scanning Probe Microsope) data visualization and analysis tool. Ragel State Machine Compiler 5.11 (Default branch)
Ragel compiles finite state machines from regular languages into C, C++, Objective-C, or D code. It allows the programmer to embed actions at any point in a regular language, and to control non-determinism in the resulting machines. It understands concatenation, union, kleene star, subtraction, intersection, epsilon transitions, and various other common operators. It also supports the construction of scanners and the building of state machines using state charts. It can be used to create very fast recognizers and parsers that are also robust.

SISC 1.15.2 (Default branch)
SISC is an extensible Java-based interpreter of the algorithmic language Scheme. It uses modern interpretation techniques and handily outperforms all existing Java interpreters (often by more than an order of magnitude). In addition, SISC is a complete implementation of the language. The entire R5RS Scheme standard is supported. Msort sorts files in sophisticated ways. Records may be fixed size, newline-separated blocks, or terminated by any specified character. Key fields may be selected by position, tag, or character range. For each key, distinct exclusions, multigraphs, substitutions, and a sort order may be defined or locale collation rules used. Comparisons may be lexicographic, numeric, numeric string, hybrid, random, by string length, angle, date, time, month name, or ISO8601 timestamp. Keys may be reversed so as to generate reverse dictionaries. Optional keys are supported. Unicode is supported, including full case-folding. Msort itself has a somewhat complex command line interface, but may be driven by an optional GUI.
