Stanowisko Polskiej Grupy Użytkowników Linuxa (PLUG) w sprawie Neutralności Sieciowej i Filtrowania Internetu
W związku z pracami nad nowelizacją "ustawy hazardowej" i przygotowywanych w jej ramach rozwiązaniach dotyczących prowadzenia rejestru stron i usług internetowych, które byłyby blokowane ze względu na zawarte w nich treści, PLUG wystosował dzisiaj (19.11.2009) swoje stanowisko w tej sprawie do Anny Streżyńskiej z Urzędu Komunikacji Elektronicznej, oraz do najwyższych przedstawicieli Rządu. Zachęcamy do zapoznania się z treścią stanowiska . Podobne stanowisko w tej sprawie zajęła Fundacja Wolnego i Otwartego Oprogramowania ( link ).

Knoppix 6.2 [dystrybucje]
Klaus Knopper ogłosił nowe wydanie popularnej dystrybucji livecd - Knoppix 6.2. Najnowsza wersja została całkowicie uaktualniona z gałęzi Debiana: Lenny, Testing i Unstable; używa jądra Linuksa 2.6.31.6 oraz X.Org 7.4; charakteryzuje się szybszym startem oraz lekkim środowiskiem graficznym LXDE. Więcej: ściągnij , opis zmian Knoppix to dystrybucja Linuksa oparta na Debianie (większość oprogramowania pochodzi od edycji Sarge, choć kilka programów pochodzi od edycji Sid), możliwa do uruchomienia z CD-ROMu, bez instalacji na twardym dysku (LiveCD). Jest ona rozwijana przez niemieckiego inżyniera Klausa Knoppera. Podczas pracy Knoppiksa wszystkie partycje na dysku twardym montowane są tylko do odczytu, nie ma zatem ryzyka przypadkowej utraty danych. Po uruchomieniu można go zainstalować na dysku za pomocą prostego w obsłudze instalatora Knoppix-installer.
